The lighting gives the photo a depressing feeling. The subject has his head down and the sybject at the center is whaat you focus on. The high angle makes the subject seem small and makes him feel isolated. The medium distance shows the subject but also where he is. He's sitting in the corner which suggests he is depressed because he is being punished.

I agree with abc, the the shadow that the boy creates casts down and then the high angle makes us think that he is small, or not as important. The colors of the picture, instead of the usual color it makes it seem a little depressing. The subject also creates that feeling too because he is slumped over and the viewer cannot see his face.

This is a medium shot, I think this was a good choice because it shows the emotion of the subject, sad. The high angle shows that the person in the corner is helpless. You can't see the person's face and I think that makes the viewer feel like the subject is shy. The color of this picture is brownish tones and that is kind of a depressing color which also draws the viewer into feeling sad too.

This particular photo sends an eery feeling because of the darkness and mystererious taking over. The lighting is very dark with brings the main focus to the boy in the corner. The high angle makes the boy seem small and of less power. The message of the photo seems to me as loneliness and depression because the boy is all alone in a dark corner, much like a lonely, sad person may metaphorically feel.

You used photoshop... but other than that, I like it. The overhead shot gives the feeling that you think you're small. The lighting is perfect for gloominess, and the corners all leading twoards you draws the eyes. But you still used photoshop. That's cheating

This photo seems to be about how waiting causes people to suffer. The subject is obviously waiting for something that is inside that door, and we have to guess what it is. This allows us to put ourselves in that situation, one I'm sure we've all been in. The low angle makes the subject look meek and powerless, especially because he is huddled in the corner. The heavy shadows creates a sense of despair and hopelessness. This is used to show how waiting causes people to suffer, and eventually give up hope.

The shadow and sepia coloring give this picture has a very sad feel. The medium angle and high shot make you feel as if you are in the room standing above the child. The part that stands out the most to me is the blurred feet. To me the symbolize that the child doesnt know where to go or cant get there. Also combined with him leaning on the hand it seems as if he has given up.
